While their indie-rock foundations are still present, they’ve given their sound a refresh thanks to the power of electro-pop. Sonically, this was a whole new Two Door Cinema Club, showcasing a more synth-dominated sound, and it is along this wavelength that we find Two Door Cinema Club on their latest album False Alarm. It wasn’t until their third album, Gameshow, an album released off the back of a self-imposed hiatus for the band, that things started to change. Its follow-up, 2011’s Beacon, picked up right where their debut left off, further cementing the trio as a hallmark of the genre. Tracks from the album became anthems, positioning Two Door Cinema Club as leaders of the UK guitar-heavy indie-rock scene and catapulting them to stages around the world.
